Follow the basic steps shown below if you wish to sign up for the service:
1. Just dial *400#.
2. Select get Safaricom home fibre service.
3. Follow the simple steps that will prompt on your screen.
You will get a call back from Safaricom within 24 hours. Following this call is the creation of your account by the Safaricom team, and Safaricom will tell you to make payment to your account.
Your connection will be done within 48 hours after paying.
Upon successful home fibre registration, you will be given a router and access to credentials to enable you to have both Safaricom wireless and LAN access, with no installation charges.
Note that you will pay for the month you are subscribed, and it is a must.
How Does Safaricom Home Fibre Work In Kenya
It is important to understand that if the Safaricom home fibre service is in your area, you should connect after they give you a call.
Safaricom will ask the following from you;
1. The application form you have filled according to their requirements.
2. You will have to produce a copy of your ID or valid passport.
3. Customer account number that Safaricom issued.
4. Payment confirmation.
Safaricom home fibre installation is Kshs, 3,000 for a new connection.
You have to carry your router if you are relocating; otherwise, you will be charged Kshs. 6,500 as a replacement fee for the router.
These home fibre plans are subjected to a fair policy with usage limits and throttle speeds.
